Batman approaches her and she tries to fight the Dark Knight but she is no match for Batman. While Staines is incapacitated, Batman looks around her apartment and discovers the priceless written works have been destroyed. Staines then reveals she stole the books, so she could destroy them so her book would be the best. Staines is then seen locked up in Arkham laughing insanely.
